Welcome to Neon Black

Neon Black are a hard rock band from the South East of England, blending the power of classic rock with the intensity of traditional heavy metal. Their music is built on memorable songwriting, soaring vocals and driving guitar work that demands attention from the very first note.

At the heart of the band is guitarist and songwriter Robin Brancher, founding member of legendary New Wave of British Heavy Metal pioneers Desolation Angels. Drawing on decades of experience, Robin has channelled his passion into a fresh musical direction—one that combines the energy of classic British metal with a broader, more melodic hard rock sound. The result is music that feels both familiar and excitingly new.

Fronting the band is vocalist Matt Oakman, whose impressive three-and-a-half octave range gives Neon Black a dynamic edge. Raised in a family of musicians, Matt brings emotion, power and melody to every performance. While echoes of influences such as Robert Plant, Rob Halford and Sebastian Bach can be heard, his voice has a character all of its own, delivering every lyric with conviction and intensity.

Although Neon Black are a new band, they are built on decades of musical experience, a genuine passion for great songwriting, and a determination to create music with lasting impact.
