DA Debut Album Reviews and Interviews.
We would like to thank all the magazines, webzines, interviewers, reviewers, SaN PR, and, most of all, our fans who get what we are producing musically.

Classic Rock Magazine – Johnny Sharp – Issue 353 – Page 77.
“Their debut album is fronted by the impressive, faintly Axl Rose-esque vocals of Matt Oakman, who brings an arresting focal point to pounding tracks like Spiralling Nowhere, jostling for attention with Brancher’s startling guitar solo breaks.”

Powerplay Rock & Metal Magazine – Tony Pijar – Issue 286 – Page 20.
“Upon hearing the new album, I was instantly impressed with its diversity, albeit tucked firmly under the hard rock/metal canopy. You’ll recognise elements of Zeppelin, Sabbath, The Cult, Balaam And The Angel, and even some grunge.”

Fireworks Rock & Metal Magazine – Chris Mee – Issue 114 – Page 99.
“A very interesting debut with good songs’ great guitar sounds, and songs that don’t go the way you think they will – Well worth a listen”

Metal Lair – Kevin McSweeney
Pillars Of Death (Desolation):
“I note with interest the word in the brackets, and how it relates to the illustrious CV of the band’s best-known member. Curiouser and curiouser!”
Angels:
“I note the lyric: “desolation is our history” in the pre-chorus, followed by the chorus: “Angels cry/just as our world starts to die.” Bearing the song’s title in mind, I think it might be about that parish I referenced earlier.”

Ever Metal – Jon Deaux.
“The four-piece from the environs of London – Robin Brancher (guitar – ex-Desolation Angels – and that name alone should command respect in this neck of the woods), Matt Oakman (vocals – direct descendant of a volcano and therefore imbued with the fiery passion of the gods), Neil Craddock (bass – servant of God and therefore imbued with the righteousness of the divine), and Dan Smith (drums – using what can only be termed righteous anger in the service of the music) – have produced a debut album that has the quite wonderful and rare gift of meaning it. All of it. Every note. Every chorus. Genuinely. Irritatingly. Thrillingly.”

Maximum Volume Music – Damian Sullivan.
“There was for me a slight nod to `Iron Man` in the intro to `Rock It` but the track is really what the title suggests a slice of untamed classic rock with some cracking powerful riffs and shattering falsetto screams at times on route, delightful.”

The FUD Magazine – Album review.
“Overall this album is a journey, it takes you to different worlds, testing the limits of your imagination. Definitely one to pop on the playlist.”

The Rockstar Reviewer (Rambling Man’s Reviews) – Anselm Anderson.
“This English Heavy Metal band DA are set to unleash their much-anticipated self titled- debut album. This ten-track album blends modern rock vibes with classic rock influences, clearly drawing inspiration from bands like Black Sabbath and Judas Priest. It has a strong throwback feel to the NWOBHM era, mixing  fast riffs with a dark, moody atmosphere and powerful, soaring vocals.”

Musipedia Of Metal – Matt Bladen.
“
DA have produced a debut album that draws from a lot of what I like in a metal band and brings it all together.”
“DA are a new force with veteran instincts, fans of old school heavy rock will love this self titled record!“
